'Back to Basics' is a photography workshop exploring salt printing and other historic alternative processes. Share the pleasure and excitement that Fox Talbot, the father of modern technology, experienced at the dawn of a technology. The workshop will recreate the conditions in which he invented photographic printing. You will have a chance to sensitize your own paper using basic chemistry and print onto it under sunlight.

Looking at sound as an indicator of the way social spaces are designed you are invited to walk with me as we listen to Brick Lane. The walk is participant led using the method of amplified listening. We meet at the Rag Factory at 1200 hrs and end there after the walk with a discussion.

This session is open to all ages and ability. We invite you to spend time taking photographs on Brick Lane with or without supervision and we will download the images at the gallery and offer advice. You will need to bring your own digital camera.
